I choose this graphic design example
because I like Jazz music and it has
a minimalist illustration style. The purpose
is to inform people about Jazz festival. The
visual communication is a poster to announce
details of the event.

The context in which the design appeared was for a
music poster festival for Freepik. Also displayed on
Freepik.
What is the communication
objective of the design?
The sender/creator is Freepik. The intended audience is
anyone interested in attending Jazz festivals. The message
of the design is to inform people about the tenth edition
annual Jazz festival.
Methodology Stages
Step 1: Brainstorm
purpose: Sketch out ideas related to Jazz music festivals.
To have multiple ideas to work from.
Step 2: Edit
Purpose: Choose best sketches and digitize on computer,
along with other variations. They used illustrator to create
silhouette of figure playing saxophone, and music notes.
Than placed silhouette and word music into Photoshop
and added an affect to both word and silhouette. After
placed file into InDesign and added in the information
on top of image, using bold lettering for hierarchy of
most important details on poster.
Step 3: Redefine
Purpose: Make additional changes to digital file.
Fix any problems or add in suggestions from feedback.
Step 4: Final
Purpose: Make final changes to file and get ready for print.
